WHAT YOU’LL DO

360 Scenery is looking for a full-time Welder/Fabricator to build custom scenery for live events. Projects change from week to week. We need someone who can read fabrication drawings, plan out the work, and build accurate, clean-looking pieces.

360 Scenery is the fabrication division of WEBB Production, creating custom builds for events across the country. If you enjoy working through a new build and taking pride in the finished product, we’d like to hear from you.

QUALIFICATIONS

Who you are
  • You have experience MIG welding and building custom metal projects from drawings.
  • You can read dimensions, work out angles, and measure, lay out, and fit parts accurately.
  • You produce clean welds and pay attention to the finished appearance.
  • You can think through a build and adjust your approach when a project presents a new challenge.
  • TIG welding experience is a plus, but not required.

Ideally, you can independently take a project from drawings through layout, fit-up, and welding. Strong related fabrication or skilled-trade experience may help compensate for experience you’re still developing.

Key responsibilities
  • MIG weld custom scenery using light-gauge tubing and ornamental components.
  • Work from drawings to measure, lay out, cut, fit, and weld each project.
  • Think through how pieces fit together, solve fabrication problems, and suggest practical ways to build the design.
  • Check measurements, fit, and finish throughout the build.
  • Occasionally travel to help install projects at event sites in Utah and across the U.S.

You’ll work in a climate-controlled indoor shop with company-provided equipment, including Miller MIG and TIG welders, a bending machine, bandsaw, grinders, plasma cutters, and a drill press.
