WHAT YOU’LL DO
WEBB is seeking a Director of Finance & Accounting to lead the company’s financial operations, accounting functions, forecasting, and business financial planning. This role is a key member of the leadership team, reporting directly to the CEO and contributing financial and operational perspective to company decision-making.
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for both strategic financial partnership and day-to-day oversight of accounting operations. The Director of Finance & Accounting will lead a lean internal accounting team and remain actively involved in monthly close, financial reporting, forecasting, cash management, and operational finance activities.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting expertise with operational and financial insight, helping leadership make informed business decisions that support profitability, growth, and organizational scale. This role is best suited for someone who thrives in a lean, entrepreneurial environment and enjoys balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
QUALIFICATIONS

You are a hands-on, detail-oriented finance and accounting leader who can balance day-to-day financial management with broader business analysis and strategic support. You bring strong technical accounting expertise, sound judgment, and the ability to translate financial information into practical operational insight.
You are proactive, collaborative, and comfortable working closely with executive leadership and department leaders. You enjoy improving systems, strengthening financial visibility, developing teams, and helping the business understand not just what happened financially, but what actions should happen next.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA preferred but not required.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting and finance leadership experience.
- Strong expertise in accounting operations, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Experience building financial models, operational reporting, and business performance analysis.
- Strong understanding of internal controls, audits, and financial compliance.
- Proven leadership experience managing teams and improving processes.
- Ability to communicate financial information clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced Excel and accounting systems experience required.
- Business Central experience strongly preferred.
- Experience in multi-entity or project-based environments preferred.
- Experience in professional services, event production, construction, fabrication, or project-based environments is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work on-site in Salt Lake City, UT; hybrid flexibility available.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain hands-on ownership of accounting operations, including monthly and annual close processes, while helping elevate the company’s financial planning and operational decision-making capabilities.
- Prepare and oversee accurate monthly financial statements and consolidated reporting.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and financial modeling efforts.
- Develop forecasting models and financial insights that support operational and strategic decision-making.
- Partner with executive leadership to provide financial analysis, operational insights, and strategic decision support.
- Serve as a trusted member of the leadership team and contribute to strategic and operational decision-making across the business.
- Develop and improve KPI reporting and financial visibility tools that support accountability and business performance.
- Support organizational planning and business scaling initiatives through financial analysis and forecasting.
- Manage banking relationships and cash management activities.
- Oversee and develop the accounting team, including the Assistant Controller, AP clerk, AR clerk, and related financial processes.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP standards, financial regulations, and internal policies.
- Coordinate audits, tax preparation, and relationships with external CPA firms and advisors.
- Develop, implement, and maintain strong internal controls and financial systems.
- Evaluate and improve accounting workflows, reporting processes, and financial tools.
- Serve as the leadership liaison for the Integration department, including oversight of budgets, staffing approvals, compensation requests, and departmental financial planning.
