WEBB Production is a creative event production agency handling large scale events that range from 300 to 30,000 attendees throughout the United States and occasionally outside the US. WHAT YOU’LL DO

POSITION SUMMARY // In short, Labor Coordinators are relationship builders. They build talent pools of skilled full-time and freelance event professionals. Labor Coordinators, in turn, place the best people in the roles/positions that are the most suited and efficient for the needs of a given show. Additionally, they perform data analysis to make sure that the labor costs contribute to the overall profitability with the show. Labor Coordinators are natural problem solvers, they don't wait for solutions, they create them. They are great communicators, are able to negotiate and understand contracts, and can diffuse conflict during tight deadlines with hundreds of thousands of dollars on the line. This position will require traveling to fulfill on-site labor management roles; such travel will be up to a week for a given assignment. This role reports to the Labor Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS //
  • Minimum two years of hands-on experience in event industry labor staffing or related field.
  • Proficiency in computer software and scheduling tools, with advanced scheduling experience.
  • Strong analytical skills for evaluating behavior, skill sets, and performance data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for effective team collaboration.
  • Preferred college degree in relevant field; equivalent professional experience considered.
  • Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments, manage conflicts, and drive continuous improvement. EDUCATION //
  • Graduation from High School or possession of an equivalency diploma may be considered
  • Associates or Bachelors degree preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Lasso Crew Scheduling Software preferred but will be trained if needed. OTHER REQUIREMENTS //
  • Knowledge of basic accounting and payroll practices to support labor-related tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-departmental teams
  • Proficient data entry skills to ensure accurate record-keeping and information management.
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing various responsibilities concurrently.
  • Critical thinking skills to analyze information and make informed decisions in support of departmental objectives.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take initiative to resolve issues and improve processes.
  • Key responsibilities
      ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS //
    • Build and communicate event schedules to freelancers
    • Track and manage rates of pay compliant to event requirements and overall company needs
    • Resolve crew issues, verify event and crew needs for each day
    • Track crew ratings and evaluate performance for individual event workers and use the information to create the successful teams
    • Communicate working rules, conditions, and contract requirement to Producers and Technical Directors, to facilitate decision making before and during the events
    • Track hours, changes, and provide TDs with daily totals of labor when onsite
    • Collaborate with Producers and TDs to ensure seamless event execution and optimal team performance
    • Interview and onboard prospective freelance employees
    • Process accident reports when needed
    • Utilize computer software, spreadsheets, schedule tracking software, and G Suite apps effectively.
    • May be on call as needed nights, weekends and holidays
